BRIDAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.    Pricing

All pricing is exclusive of a blow-dry (unless that is what you have specifically booked for). Polished Style will provide adequate information on how the hair should be prepared prior to (on the day) styling. If this is not adhered to, the client will be charged for an additional blow-dry. All pricing is subject to change unless a final quote has been given, the booking fee has been paid and the contract has been signed.  

2.   Bridal Trials

All trials are held at Polished Style studio. The cost is included in your package. Trials are held on Monday’s and Tuesday’s during the business hours of 10am-3pm. 

3.    Bookings

To secure your wedding date, a signed contract is required with a $200  booking fee due at the time of signing. Your booking fee will be deducted from the final balance. The booking fee is non-refundable and non-transferable. This includes, but not limited to, situation where the booking and/or wedding is cancelled due to personal relationship breakdown, financial, family situation and unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to: health pandemics, change in regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures. Please be advised that if the contract is not signed and/or the booking fee has not been paid, then your wedding date is not confirmed and locked in.

4. Booking Numbers

Please consider and confirm your numbers carefully at the time of booking, as we do not offer any reductions in our packages. This includes, but not limited to, situations where the booking and/or wedding is amended due to personal relationship breakdowns, financial, family situations and unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to: health pandemics, change to regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures.

5. Travel

Travel fees are included in the packages for venues up to 2 hours from Melbourne. Locations further than this will be charged an additional travel fee. Travel fee is calculated at $80 per hour to and from the wedding destination. Venues further than 2 hours from Melbourne will also need to have accommodation included in the booking. Parking must be provided at all inner city hotels. 

6. Early Call Times

A $75 fee will be charged for every hour prior to the agreed 6am start time.

7. Sunday’s and Public Holidays

For Sunday Wedding's and Public Holiday Wedding's, a 15% surcharge applies.

8. Exclusivity Clause

The client agrees that Polished Style has the sole and exclusive right to provide hairstyling to the bride and her bridesmaids on the wedding day.

9. Satisfaction

Hair will be completed to each client’s satisfaction on the wedding day. Ample time is given for each hairstyle upon booking. Verbal agreeance is thereby confirming the client is happy with the services performed. If the client is unhappy with the styling provided, they must raise their concern whilst Polished Style is still on location and it will be rectified.

10. Cancellations

Cancelling or rescheduling of trials requires 48 hours’ notice. Cancelling of weddings requires 120 days’ notice. Failure to notify Polished Style  prior to 120 days, will result in payment being due in full. Failure to pay the full balance due will result in a final letter of demand which will be emailed to the address supplied. If after seven days of the letter being sent, full payment has not been made, Polished Style will pursue legal action to retrieve those funds. All legal fees will be at the expense of the client.  All bookings fees are strictly non-refundable or non-transferable regardless of the reason given. The booking fee is to cover administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your booking. In the unlikely event that Polished Style is unable to attend the clients booking due to sickness, injury, personal emergency or any other circumstance beyond her control, the hairstylist will endevour to find a replacement. However, finding a replacement is not guaranteed. The client will receive a full refund of the money paid, less the trial cost.

11. COVID 19

Enforced cancellations due to government regulations (lockdown) will result in the bride receiving a full refund minus the booking fee. The booking fee will be credited to a future date. If Polished Style is unavailable for the new date, then the booking fee is forfeited as the booking fee is non-refundable.

12. Reschedule/Postponements

If you choose to reschedule or postpone your wedding,  you will be subject to new pricing.

13. Service Location & Requirements

Getting ready location is at the discretion of the bride however, there are certain requirements the hairstylist needs to complete hair services. Working electrical outlets must be available for use by the hairstylist. A work area with table and chairs as well as ample lighting (natural or artificial) is also necessary for services to be performed properly.

14. Parking Fees

Parking needs to be provided onsite at the getting ready location. All hotels will need to have a space available onsite for parking and the fee will be added to the client’s room bill.
